How verdicts are computed

Every verdict is a documented opinion: pure, deterministic rules over the product's ingredient data — no AI in the verdict path, ever. Each judge below is a versioned rule-set. What you see here is the live rule data the engine runs, not a summary of it. Every verdict lists the exact fields that fired ("the receipts"), and a judge whose load-bearing fields are missing says CAN'T JUDGE instead of guessing.

What the data cannot capture: sourcing and rawness — grass-fed, pasture-raised, raw vs pasteurized, farm trust — are not in barcode-level data. Where a label declares them ("Rohmilch") the rules use it; otherwise sourcing-sensitive verdicts carry the caveat "sourcing unknown — verdict assumes conventional".
