Product data — Open Food Facts (ODbL)

Product data comes from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0; individual contents under the Database Contents License. Every verdict links its OFF product page. Product photos are served from the Open Food Facts image database, © their photographers, under CC BY-SA 3.0.

Our OFF-derived slice is a derivative database. Per ODbL §4.6 we publish both the machine-readable slice (JSONL download) and the alteration algorithm: the OFF export is filtered to food records with 8- or 13-digit codes; kept fields are code, name, brands, ingredients text + language, additives/analysis/categories tags, a nutriment subset (energy, carbohydrates, sugars, fat, saturated fat, proteins, salt per 100 g), and NOVA group; empty strings normalize to null; a PUFA seed-oil lexicon over the ingredient text adds derived tags. Verdicts are Produced Works (§4.5b). User contributions and judge rule-sets live in separate databases joined by barcode at read time (§4.5a collective database).
